How the program works

The contributor program runs in five stages 👉🏾

1. Submission

You submit your pitch to us. To know what makes a good pitch, it must:

  • Aim to solve a real need for marketers— early, mid-level, or senior marketers. We love articles written from experience or that share an idea strong enough to make others rethink their approach to the topic.

  • Topic ideas should cover any of the following clusters: AI in marketing, remote work, career path/growth, thought leadership, networking, and wellbeing.

  • Have a clear practical value for marketers who would read your work.

2. Review

We review your pitch and respond within a week. If your pitch aligns with us, you’ll be invited to share your outline.

3. Creation

We share internal templates, guidelines, and resources to help you create your best work. Our in-house team and volunteer editors will provide multiple rounds of feedback and guidance, from the outlining stage through to the final draft.

Before and during the creation process, note a few things:

  • Your work must be original, insight-backed, and written in an empathetic style that shows you care about how your idea helps your readers.

  • It must also maintain a unique POV and be unpublished elsewhere.

  • Ensure you write with SEO best practices in mind.

  • We’re flexible with the length of articles. But for maximum impact, we require that articles have a minimum of 1,000 words.

4. Publishing

We publish your approved final draft and share it with you.

5. Promotion

You collaborate with our social media team on ideas for promotion and distribution.
